We discussed the hallmarks of trauma in particular birth experience, impact of birth injuries and how Craniosacral can support the healing process. The talk focused on the power of choice, the power of knowledge. We discussed the outcome of survey whether women have the choice of natural birth and caesarean section, whether they should have birth companions at birth. We also delved on the role of doula and how Craniosacral Therapy and Body Balancing using Body Ready Method can help to mitigate pain associating with pregnancy and reduce risks of birth injuries.

I shared insights gained from the experience and how I drew strength from chronic pain. My long-time practice in yoga and meditation, together with my knowledge as a therapist, lent me first-hand understanding of trauma, appreciating the language of pain, supporting my process of rehabilitation and recalibration.
