My aspiration is to hold a safe space for you to remember your innate power of birthing, power of love, power of creation. I offer one-on-one prenatal and postpartum support using Craniosacral Therapy and Body Balancing movements, as well as customised Doula Support. My array of therapeutic skills can support you and your family holistically in this rite of passage.
Support biodynamics of your body
My skill as a Craniosacral Therapist lends tremendous insights into the biodynamics of prenatal support, birthing and postpartum recovery. The therapy helps the nervous system to self regulate, support emotional and physical balance, relax into labour-flow state and encourage space for the baby to navigate during labour. I am deeply privileged to have supported women optimising their foetal position, easing their pregnancy pain and discomfort, and resolving birth injuries and trauma. The benefits are wide-ranging.
Create balance & space for birthing
My passion is to empower you with tools to create balance, optimise space and enhance functionality in priming your body for birth and postpartum recovery. Birthing is a dynamic process on your body and your baby. Your body is an integrated system and your baby is an active participant. By harmonising the uniqueness of your body with positioning and movements, I hope to stack all the cards in your favour to prepare for this momentous task.
Body Ready Method, the founding principles of renowned One Strong Mama prenatal and postpartum protocols, is the core of my Body Balancing work. My focus is on the inter-relationship of your upper body mobility, functional core system, pelvis and pelvic floor resonance, and your movement patterns for an optimal birth experience.
Prenatal care to prime your body
Body preparation for optimal birthing experience is essential. Very often it focuses on end of pregnancy exercises. Starting earlier than third trimester to create balance, space and functions in the body is ideal, and encouraged. This therapy session includes assessment of your body alignment and movement tools for continuing self care.
Support your progress in birth
Attention and time are essential for you and your body movements to encourage intuitive labour-flow state and optimise balance and space for the baby. Whether you are near the due date, or your baby is not in optimal position, or your labour is not progressing, I am here to support you at my clinic or at your home or hospital.
Nourish your postpartum care
Postpartum care often does not get the attention it deserves. Regardless of your birth experience, let's honour your body, the time and care you need. I believe in combining rest and movement, using Body Ready Method postpartum recovery protocols and Craniosacral Therapy's biodynamic approach.
No words can describe how privileged I feel supporting women through birthing and providing continuous postpartum care. Having been trained by Australian Doula College, amplified by comprehensive Body Ready Method, my trove of knowledge and skills are awaiting to be shared with you.
